Take an Acura Legend FF drivetrain, and mount it at the rear of a AW11 (or SW20 with blown engine) Toyota MR2 as a transverse MR engine. Instant NSX. Tune to taste.

I think I would prefer a V8 Fiero. Or a stock first or second gen MR2.

The greatest automotive troll designs ever, Acura FWD longitudinal engine cars and a transverse engine RWD car.
Which is why your idea is perplexing, what transmission are you going to use and who's gonna make the adapter plate? Just use an aluminum FWD Lexus V6. Or put a 2zz-GE with the Lotus coil pack cover for fun.

I think that would make it RR not MR. The engine is almost completely over the driveshafts.

SW20s are an incredible base for a ton of projects. I keep entertaining the idea of getting an NA one for year-round duty in college - add a roof box and some character and make it Jon Olson's R8 on a budget.

Love your train of thought, but sw20 and legend v6 definitely DO NOT equal NSX aluminum monocoque and chassis dynamics.

OK, quarter-price Porsche, then.
